Six dinosaurs, six boards, big chunky pieces a toddler can grip. Each dinosaur is cut into three to five thick wooden pieces that sit down into their own board, so the shape reads even when it is half done and a piece dropped on the floor is easy to find. Pick Set A or Set B — both give you six.

Why a board, not a loose jigsaw

Loose jigsaw pieces slide, flip and end up under the sofa. A framed board holds the outline still, which is what lets a two-year-old work out where the head goes without help. It is also why these get finished, and a finished puzzle is one that gets done again.

Which set?

Set A: Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Isanosaurus, Pliosaur, Ankylosaurus.
Set B: Pterodactyl, Corythosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Oviraptor, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops. If they already know the names, Set B has the famous ones. If they don't yet, it does not matter.
