Snap the track together however you like, then let the car drive it. Magnetic track pieces click end to end — flat runs, curves, ramps and raised sections on posts — and the car follows whatever you built.

Why the track is the toy, not the car

Most car-track sets come with a fixed layout and one right answer. This one is modular: the same box is a figure-of-eight on Monday and a two-level spiral on Saturday. The building is where the hour goes, and the car is the reward for finishing it.

That makes it unusually good value in play-hours per pound, because a child who has solved a layout immediately wants to beat it — steeper, longer, higher. There is no point at which the set is finished.

The magnetic joins matter more than they sound. They pull themselves into line, so a three-year-old gets a working track without adult help, and a knock-down doesn't mean starting from scratch.

Choosing a set size

  • 57 pieces — a first track. Ground-level loops and simple curves.
  • 81 pieces — enough for ramps and a raised section.
  • 151 pieces — multi-level builds that take over a room, and the one to buy if it's a main gift.

Every set includes one car.

Age guidance

3 and up. Three builds flat loops and pushes the car. Five starts ramps and works out that too steep means it won't climb. Seven and up build in layers and design a route on purpose.

Materials

Moulded plastic with the magnetic connectors sealed inside the ends of each piece, and the joins shaped to avoid pinch points. Ages three and up, as with any magnetic building set.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I buy? 57 for a first set or a younger child, 151 if it's the main present. 81 is the middle ground.

Do the sets work together? Yes — the pieces are the same system, so a second set doubles the layout rather than replacing it.

How many cars come with it? One per set.

Why the magnets matter

They pull themselves into line, so a three-year-old builds without help

And a knock-down does not mean starting from scratch — the pieces click straight back together.
Magnetic car track features: pieces click themselves straight, ramps and raised runs, a new layout every time, one car per set
